YUESHENG Press is committed to democratizing access to knowledge by making all research freely available to the global community.

Our open-access (OA) policy ensures that scholarly work reaches the widest possible audience, fosters innovation, and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


1. Open Access Principles

1.1 Immediate and Free Access: All articles are published under a CC BY 4.0 International License and made freely available upon publication, with no embargo period.

1.2 Reuse Rights: Readers may freely share, adapt, and build upon the work, provided proper attribution is given.

1.3 Transparency: Clear disclosure of Article Processing Charges (APCs) and funding models.

2. Scope

2.1 Journals Covered: All journals under YUESHENG Press are fully open access.

2.2 Content Types: Research articles, reviews, case studies, commentaries, and data papers.

3. Licensing and Copyright

Authors retain copyright but grant YUESHENG Press a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work.

License Type: Default CC BY 4.0; alternative licenses (CC BY-NC) may be available for specific journals upon request.

4. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

4.1 APC Coverage: Fees cover peer review, editorial services, production, hosting, and long-term archiving.

4.2 APC Amount: Journal-specific APCs range from $400 to $2,500, depending on article type and disciplinary costs.

4.3 Fee Waivers: Full or partial waivers are available for authors from low- and middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank) or those experiencing financial hardship.

4.4 Institutional Partnerships: Discounted APCs for authors affiliated with institutional members or consortia.

5. Funding Compliance

5.1 Plan S Compliance: APCs are eligible for reimbursement by cOAlition S funders.

5.2 Funder Agreements: Compliant with mandates from NIH, Wellcome Trust, ERC, and other major funders.

6. Data Sharing and Reproducibility

6.1 Data Availability: Authors must deposit datasets in public repositories (Such Figshare, Zenodo, Dryad) and include a Data Availability Statement.

6.2 Code and Materials: Code, protocols, and experimental materials must be shared under open licenses (Such MIT License, CC0).

7. Archiving and Preservation

7.1 Digital Archiving: All content is archived in CLOCKSS, Portico, and LOCKSS to ensure permanent accessibility.

7.2 Self-Archiving: Authors may deposit preprints, accepted manuscripts, or published versions in institutional repositories or platforms like arXiv and SSRN.

8. Ethical Standards

8.1 Plagiarism Screening: All submissions undergo screening via iThenticate or Crossref Similarity Check.

8.2 Transparency: APCs, waivers, and editorial workflows are publicly documented.

9. APC Waiver Requests

9.1 Eligibility: Authors may request waivers during submission. Decisions are made by an independent committee based on need and regional equity.

9.2 How to Apply: Submit a waiver request form with a brief justification via the journal’s submission portal.

10. Accessibility

10.1 Language: Abstracts and metadata are translated into multiple languages (e.g., Chinese, Spanish, French) to enhance discoverability.

10.2 Format Flexibility: Articles are published in HTML, PDF, and machine-readable XML formats.
